What does “Kedesh” mean?

In Hebrew, Kedesh קדש (or more correctly transliterated “Qedesh“) can mean “set apart” – which comes from Qodesh קודש meaning “holy” and forms the root word for miqdash מקדש meaning “a sanctuary”.

We believe that the LORD has created you for a particular part of His plan and purpose – He has given you specific gifts and talents to accomplish His will while you are on earth and you will never feel fulfilled until you are walking in your calling. You are “set apart” for a special purpose that only you can accomplish and we hope to help you and encourage you in your role, glorify Him, and expand His Kingdom.

Though we have a massive vision for Kedesh and we have only just started (in 2021), we will add one bit at a time as the LORD opens the door. So, please come back again and again to see what else we are working on.

Though this is where we are heading, we still have a long way to go! Here is the direction we think we’re going:

Centre: God & His Word

Our heart is for believers to live as one new man in community, whether that is geographically or online, with God (Elohim) and His Word at the centre. People coming together because they love Him and long to serve Him, endeavouring to live Godly lives, a light to our surrounding communities in these last days.

A place where we can gather together regularly for prayer, teaching, Bible study, fellowship, and food. From this centre, to radiate outwards using our giftings and callings to help those around us, serving the community, sharing His Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love to a desperately dark and dying world.

Community Services

Serving God. Serving each other. Building up one another in the faith. Serving our community. Serving Israel. Serving our nations. Promoting Missions. Children’s services (child sponsorship). Employment. Free Scripture cards and Bibles to give away.

Accommodation

Outreaching through various kinds of accommodation:

Commercial Accommodation – be listed on websites such as: HipCamp, AirBnB, WikiCamps, RV Parks, Motels, Hotels, free camping websites, and other accommodation websites (eg HIT), as a way to connect with people.
Homeless, Refugee, and Crisis Accommodation
Retreats and Camps
Supported Accommodation – for aged and disabled people
Other welfare

Education

Helping others better themselves and their spiritual lives through education:

Christian Schools and Home-school support
Bible College with sound Messianic-based teaching (not “replacement theology”)
Language Schools
Creative Arts Schools
Apprenticeships, Traineeships, and Upskilling Programs
Natal and Parental Guidence
Soft Skills academies (teaching our children some grit – through the Fruit of the Spirit!)

Media

Social media is a huge platform these days and we believe this is a great way to connect with young people:

Biblical filming – shorts, short movies, movie-length
Publishing – we encourage every believer to write down their story (see books) and produce hand-made Scripture-based products (eg Scripture cards)

Manufacturing & Produce

We would like to be as self-sustaining as possible and recycle the world’s rubbish, manufacturing our own goods, machinery, equipment, as needed:

Crops and food production
Woodwork and metallurgy
Fabrics
Recycling plastics, iron, etc.
(We hope to become part of the Precious Plastics community, one day!)

Sales

While “sales” is not our priority, we see sales as a way to outreach, through:

Bartering with other Christian communities and neighbours
Connecting with travellers and locals and their local Markets
Online presence distributing Godly products
